Obtaining Specialty Care

Persons registered with Bridges to Care can be linked to a volunteer physician specialist upon referral from their clinic doctor. The patient pays $10 per visit to the specialist and a $5 co-pay per prescription filled at a local Kroger Pharmacy.  The specialist may arrange other outpatient or inpatient services as needed. These services are provided at no charge to you.

If you are currently registered in Bridges to Care, contact your assigned clinic for assistance in determining if you need to see a specialist. If you are not registered with Bridges to Care and would like to do so, go to the Finding Health Care link for assistance. There you can also learn how to choose a clinic.

To qualify for SPECIALTY CARE through BTC, you

·         Must live in Davidson County

·         Must be uninsured

·         Must have a family income under 200% of the federal poverty level

·         Already be registered with Bridges to Care
