About the Consortium

The Safety Net Consortium of Middle Tennessee, LLC is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation whose mission is to help uninsured residents of Middle Tennessee obtain quality health care at a price they can afford.  The Consortium is governed by a Board of Directors which is comprised of health care providers and consumer organization members that serve the poor and uninsured.

Presently the Consortium operates the Bridges to Care and Bridges to Care Plus programs that link uninsured Nashville residents to medical services.  Bridges to Care has linked more than 42,700 Nashville residents to health care services since its inception in February 2002 and provided more than 176,000 prescriptions.  The Consortium is also working on the development of similar programs for the Mid-Cumberland Region.
